Duck Park

We had to take advantage of the beautiful weather this morning, so we went to the park.  Hudson and Luke had a blast playing on the playground, especially the seesaw and the swings.  After playing, we walked over to feed the ducks, which Hudson thoroughly enjoyed!

Crib Play

Sometimes Hudson wants to play in his or Luke's crib just to goof around, and he always wants Luke in there with him.  A few pics of them playing tonight...

Hudson was jumping up and down very fast, and Luke thought this was hilarious!

9 Month Check-Up

Today was Luke's 9 month check up. The appointment was originally scheduled for Feb 1st, but this was the first day of the ice storm, so we had to reschedule.  The appointment went well, and the doctor said that he is progressing perfectly!
Here are Luke's stats at 9 months (almost 10 months) old:

Height:  29.5 inches (78th percentile)
Weight:  20 lbs 3 oz (34th percentile)
Head:  47.4 cm (92nd percentile)

Dr. Saksena pointed out to me (but didn't seem too concerned) that Luke is decreasing some on his weight percentile compared to around average where he has been.  He eats like a champ (especially now that he's on table foods), and he has a belly to go along with it, so I'm not at all concerned about his weight.  She said that he's just getting leaner and growing into a thinner toddler body now.

Luke got one shot today, and he didn't cry at all!  What a stud!

Gaylord Texan

Yesterday, we ventured over to the Gaylord Texan.  We walked around enjoying the scenery and then ate lunch at the bar/grill.  We sat on the patio to enjoy the view during lunch.  Hudson loved the waterfalls and the train best.  After lunch, we headed across the street to the Great Wolf Lodge.  We've always wanted to check it out.  The large indoor waterpark looks like a blast!  This is definitely on our list of future fun getaways for the boys.

They're making the same exact face!

Picnic Playdate

Today we enjoyed our second park playdate this week. On Tuesday, we met up with some friends at a park by our house, and today we joined a group of my friends for a picnic at the park. It's so much fun to get out in this beautiful weather! I'm sure we'll have many more park and picnic playdates to come!

Girl's Getaway

For my birthday celebration part 2, I enjoyed a whole girl's day out with my friends! We had a blast!! My mom and Aunt Shirley organized this for mine and my cousin, Sarah's, 30th birthday (which we both share this month). To begin our day, we met at Starbucks for a coffee and gift exchange. Then we enjoyed a pedicure/manicure. After that, we ventured to downtown Grapevine for lunch and shopping. This is one of my favorite places to shop with all of the fun boutiques, and the weather was absolutely gorgeous for our stroll around downtown! Our lunch at the local bistro was also fabulous! After our shopping spree in Grapevine, we ventured over to Southlake Town Center for a little more shopping and dinner at Mi Cocina! Everything was just perfect and making it even better was that my mom treated me to the whole day! What a FANTASTIC day! This was so much fun and definitely the perfect birthday gift! I have such a wonderful mom and friends!

Matthew enjoyed his time with the boys today while I was gone. They went to Kelsey's 3rd birthday party in the morning, and after naptime they played at the park. We look forward to celebrating at Stella's 2nd birthday party tomorrow! So many fun activities planned this month with still more to come!

Is this Macho?

Somebody wanted to play with Mommy's tiara...

Am I still macho if I wear the tiara but still play the guitar?
How about when I'm playing baseball?
No? Ok, well I want to wear it anyways!
