Here's what Luke is up to at 9 months old:
- He is starting to transition to one nap a day now...Yay! He and Hudson both go down after lunch between 12-1, and Luke will usually sleep for about 3-4 hours. I am happy about this because it gives us more flexibility in the mornings with him not needing his nap.
- He still wears 6-12 month clothing.
- Luke is now completely on table foods. He will pretty much eat whatever we are eating (with a few exceptions, of course).
- He is now drinking his milk from a sippy cup. No more bottles. He can also drink from the sippy cup on his own by tipping it back himself.
- He will do the worm crawl some but mostly prefers to roll around everywhere. He has not started crawling up on all fours yet. He could do it if he wanted to, but whenever I try to teach him, he is not patient enough and immediatly lunges forward, falling onto his tummy. He gets frustrated, wanting to go somewhere, and doesn't take the time to figure it out. Honestly, I am not pushing crawling much this time around, as I know how much busier he will get. I figure that he'll do it on his own time.
- He can go from laying down to sitting up on his own.
- He can pull up to standing, so his crib is now at the lowest level.
- When asked, he can blow kisses, give hugs and throw a ball.
- Luke can say 'dada' and 'baba', and he will try to say 'car'.
- He still just has the two bottom teeth.
- No more infant carrier. Luke is now in the convertible car seat but facing backwards still.
- Hudson now calls him Lukey... Nobody has ever called him that; It's just a nickname Hudson made up for him.
- He still has separation anxiety when he sees Mommy; he's definitely a Mommy's boy right now.
We were out and about all day, coming home way past Luke's bedtime, so we are in our jammies for these pics.
Poor guy looks dazed and tired in this one... I can't blame him at 10:00 at night!
All of a sudden, while I was snapping pictures, Luke planted his feet on the ground and stood up!
Here comes brother!
