Yes, that is correct! This hot air balloon landed in the lawn directly across the street! How cool is THIS! Matthew and I both saw this balloon flying in a distance as we were leaving our house this morning, so we called Larry and Vicki to tell them the balloon was overhead and to wake up the boys to go outside to watch it. Well, to our surprise, this balloon soon decided to land right in front of our house! How crazy is that! They had tried to land in the backyard that you can see fenced in the picture above, but the wind shifted a little and brought them to the front yard. The balloon crew asked the boys if they'd like to sit inside the basket (staying on the ground of course), but Hud and Luke weren't quite sure what to think of that. So they didn't get in. The boys were given their business cards with a picture of a big pretty balloon on the front. I was excited to read that they are located just down the street at Hicks Airfield! It's a small airport that houses small personal planes. Since this balloon company flies from there, I'm guessing we'll continue to see them from time to time. How fun!!
