Halfway

Well, I am 19 weeks pregnant and halfway through! We were able to peek at Lucas again today. The doctor said that everything looks great, and he's right on schedule. She also confirmed that Luke is definitely a boy! He weighs 10 oz., and his heart rate was 155. He was quite active during the scan, squirming around all over the place.

I can feel Lucas move and kick often now, which is such an amazing feeling and one of the best experiences ever! I love it!!

My pregnancy is much more enjoyable now that the nausea has completely subsided. It was the worst during weeks 11-14. I've also been getting tension headaches this pregnancy, which aren't very much fun, but I'm thankful that those have pretty much gone away also. So far, I've craved a few things off and on, but I haven't craved anything in particular all the time. Some of my cravings on a given day have included, mandarin oranges, spagettios, key lime pie, popscicles and hard boiled eggs. This time around, my cravings are often derived from seeing a food or someone mentioning one that all of a sudden sounds great!

It's definitely true that your belly starts growing earlier during your second pregnancy! I have enjoyed starting to look pregnant and wearing maternity clothes. So far, this pregnancy has been better due to the cooler weather instead in the dead heat of summer like with Hudson. It's fun going through pregnancy all over again because I know what to expect and what I have to look forward to (another precious little boy). Also, I don't seem to worry as much as I did the first time around.

  1. What a perfect little profile! It's crazy what a difference just a few weeks makes for an ultrasound! Soooo cute! I can't wait to see what he looks like in just a few more months!
