24 Weeks & Counting

I can't believe that I'm already 24 weeks today! It's FLYING by! Lucas now weighs about a pound and is approximately 12 inches long (the length of an ear of corn). I went to the doctor on Tuesday, and she said that everything is right on track and looks great. Luke's heart rate was 154.

I've been feeling great these past couple months besides some slight indigestion once or twice! I've also had a little cramping from my stomach muscles growing, which I'm definitely starting to notice, especially because it's become much more difficult to bend over to pick things up. This time around I've realized I'm more worn out at the end of the day after picking up Hudson and toys all day long, but it's worth it!! I've also found that I've had a little more difficulty sleeping at night because I'm getting more uncomfortable, which I remember the third trimester being the worst for this.

I don't remember feeling them this early, but I had a couple Braxton Hicks Contractions last night. Nothing too bad but I definitely noticed them in my abdonmen and back.

Luke doesn't move/kick all the time, but his movements have definitely become more prominent over the past few weeks. Usually in the evening when I'm relaxing is when I notice the most movement. In fact, yesterday, Lucas was wiggling around all over the place in my belly.

Well, my appetitie picked up over the holidays for sure! This was probably a combination of my nausea finally subsiding and all the tempting delicious food around constantly! A few of my food cravings have been different than with Hudson. For one, steak doesn't sound appetizing this time around as it did during my 1st pregnancy... chicken has been my meat of choice. Of course, I still LOVE seafood as always but have limited it some! Also, I seemed to crave chocolate more with Hudson, and now I want fruity sweet stuff like skittles or mandarin oranges.

We can't wait to see what Lucas looks like! We are anxious to see if he will look like Hudson or completely different! Not too much longer...April is right around the corner!
