Our 2nd Christmas

Christmas #2 this year was on New Year's Day with my family. My brother, Derek, and his wife, Kitty, came in town on New Year's Eve. We joined them and my parents for dinner that night. The next morning, we went over to my parents house to exchange gifts, which was a fun time! My parents gave us a digital home theater system!!! We are setting that up in the morning, so we can use it to watch the Texas Tech bowl game tomorrow night. My parents gave Matthew a Tech sweatshirt and Derek and OU sweatshirt; however, as a joke, they wrapped the gifts so Derek opened the Tech one and Matthew opened the OU one. This made for a great laugh! Kitty and I got some beautiful turquoise earrings that my parents got us while in Santa Fe. Memere and Opa gave Hudson a Let's Go Thomas, a singing Elmo, and a personalized step stool for his bathroom. Uncle Derek and Aunt Kitty gave Hudson a Little People police motorcycle. Matthew and I also saved three of Hudson's gifts for this weekend to spread out the fun. We gave him his Alphabet Train, a Sort & Spin Blender, and a Thomas the Train indoor play tent. After opening gifts in the morning, we stayed the rest of the day watching football and eating Christmas dinner/snacks. My Uncle Gary joined us in the afternoon. Christmas with my family this year was lots of fun!

It's kinda sad that our Christmas festivities are over for this year, but we have lots of wonderful memories and have made new family traditions to take with us.

Thomas not only talks but also blushes, sings, his eyes move, and he chugs along by himself following your voice... a very intelligent toy!
Hudson has so much fun playing with his new train. It can do so many things, and he can also ride it! Hudson enjoyed shooting the blocks down the engine.
