Hudson is two and a half years old today!  Here are some things he's up to:

• Hudson is wearing 2T on most clothing, except pants, which he has to wear 3T for the length but with a belt because they fall right off him. He wears size 8 shoe.

• He is a very good communicator... sometimes maybe too much!  Hudson is very chatty; he talks ALL THE TIME!  He is communicating in sentences and repeats things we say often.  I love this age because there isn't a communication barrier anymore.

• He has begun pretend play.  It is so cute to watch his imagination and him explore with new ideas!

• He knows all of his colors, shapes and can count to twenty.  He can also recognize all of his numbers and letters.

• He can sing Happy Birthday, The Wheels on the Bus, his ABCs, and Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star (which is his favorite).  He enjoys singing much more now than he used to.

• He can draw a circle and a line.

• Is extremely polite! He regularly says thank you, please, bless you or excuse me without being asked.

• He knows all of the different sports, the ball associated with that sport, and he can tell you which ones he's watching on TV.  His favorites are basketball, soccer and golf.

• Hudson is great at throwing, catching and making baskets.  He can also hit the ball off a tee and has a great swing.  Daddy is also working with him on kicking a soccer ball.

• He still LOVES his cars, and pretty much has one in his hands all the time.  He also enjoys organizing them and lining them up in different shapes.

• Hudson has begun demonstrating a 'neat, organization' side.  He will orgaize his cars, candy, acorns, you name it he will organize it into a letter, number or just a straight line. He also keeps Mommy in check with cleaning because he doesn't like anything dirty!

• He's a great eater. He will pretty much eat anything we offer him. Milk continues to be his drink of choice, but we limit it to 2-3 glasses a day.

• Hudson loves the company of his little brother. He is often trying to teach him something, and he loves to entertain him by making him laugh.

• Although we limit it to only a couple shows a day, Hudson loves to watch TV.  His favorite shows are Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Go, Diego, Go, Caillou and Yo Gabba Gabba.  However, Mickey is by far his absolute favorite.

• He is still shy when in a large group of new people or in a new situation but will warm up after a few minutes.

• Hudson enjoys reading and can 'read' a few of his favorites by reciting what's on the pages.

• He is still taking one nap a day, which Mommy loves!  It's usually around 1.5 to 3 hours.

• We're not sure yet if he's right or left handed because he will switch between both when eating with a utensil, throwing a ball, etc... However, he seems to favor his right.  He definitely prefers his right foot when kicking a soccer ball.
