Happy 14 Months!

  • New words:  go, stick, bat, gogurt "yogurt", biper "diaper", please, moo (for what a cow says) and ruff (for what a doggie says).  He doesn't talk all the time... It's often difficult to get a word in being around his chatterbox brother all the time.
  • When he wants something he will say please.
  • He wears a combination of 6-12 month & 12-18 month clothing, size 4 shoe and size 3 diapers.
  • Luke has 8 teeth.
  • He's walking everywhere!  He can also stand up from the ground on his own, so there's no stopping him now!  If he falls, he stands right back up and keeps going!  We've also noticed how much happier he is now that he's walking.  I think he feels more like part of the gang and is having a blast toddling around.
  • No more paci!  It is official that Luke does not use his pacis anymore.  He basically weaned himself off. He wasn't as interested in it anymore, so I stopped giving it to him at night, and he didn't fuss.  I am still shocked about this since I expected a difficult transition, but don't get me wrong... I'm not complaining!
  • He has grown very attached to his nigh-night.  He sleeps with it every night and at naptime.  He will also carry it around the house with him some.
  • His favorite shows are Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Blues Clues and Sesame Street.  He gets excited when he hears the Diego song at the beginning of the show but he doesn't watch it.
  • Luke can point to facial features on his own face now: nose, mouth, ears and head.
  • He has started trying to shoot the basketball just like his big brother!
  • Luke is surprisingly calm while I brush his teeth or when I clip his nails.  Hudson has always been the same way.  Let's just hope it stays this way!
  • He's started this new phase: a high pitched scream.  He does this if he gets frustrated and can't express what he wants in words.  Mommy is definitely ready for this phase to be over with!
  • Luke is also starting to test Mommy by being disobedient to see what will happen as a result.  In fact, he experienced his first timeout today.
It is next to impossible to get a picture of this busy body!

Being shy for the camera for a split second...
 ... and we're off!
Luke loves to turn his sound machine on and off.
Take Two
