Happy Father's Day!

The boys enjoyed celebrating their Daddy today and made him feel very special!  This morning, Matthew played golf and ate lunch with his buddies.  He was greeted when he got home with HUGE hugs and a "Happy Mother's Day" from Hudson.  Hudson kept telling Matthew that all day long- "Happy Mother's Day!".  Thinking it was cute, we went along with it.  The boys gave Daddy a card, a Dallas Mavericks balloon and a Dallas Mavericks championship shirt.  All of these items were specifically picked out by Hudson.  Hudson was trying to make a decision while picking out a card for Daddy, and I pointed out a Mickey card I thought he'd like to give him.  Hudson's response was, "No Mommy. Daddy doesn't like Mickey; he wants a Dallas Mavericks card."  Ha!  I wished so much they'd have one at that moment, but when I explained that they didn't, he immediately saw a golf card, "That one, Mommy!  Daddy will like that one!"  It was a great choice!  We did a little more shopping, and as we were checking out guess what we saw- Dallas Mavericks balloons and shirts.  It was PERFECT!  Matthew didn't have a championship shirt yet, so the boys proudly gave their Daddy a balloon and a royal blue championship shirt of the team he loves!

After dinner, the boys and I had another surprise cooking for Daddy- chocolate lava cake, his favorite!  Hudson, Luke and I made this delicious dessert for Daddy, while he watched golf and relaxed.  They were both great cooks.  Mommy cracked the eggs.  Hudson added the oil and water.  Luke and Hudson both stirred.  And Hudson topped the cake off with the yummy "lava" goodness!
