We are having so much fun this soccer season! Hudson's last game is in two weeks, which is when we will have his team party! He is getting better; in fact, I noticed today that he's getting bolder with trying to get the ball. Most importantly, Hudson is having fun out on the field. He basically just runs around in the general direction of the ball with all of the other kids but doesn't necessarily go after the ball. When the ball is close, he gets gun shy and waits for the next closest kid to kick it. We are just happy that he runs around happily acting like he's playing instead of just standing there. At this age, that's all we can hope for! We have to remind ourselves that he is the youngest child on the field and is playing with kids up to two years older than him. The cutoff to play is age 3 (by the first game). Well, Hudson actually missed that cutoff by 2 weeks, but they still allowed him to sign up. So he is definitely the youngest. We're glad we signed him up to start playing now though, it keeps us busy and the kids active! We enjoy having a game each Saturday and a practice each Tuesday. We can't wait for next season, which will be in the spring!
