Hudson's Pre-K Graduation

Today was a bittersweet day as I realized how quickly Hudson is growing! He graduated Pre-K today and was so excited! I feel lucky that we have a few more years at Northwood with Luke because we've had such an awesome experience there!  Hudson absolutely adored his teachers this year!  As happy as he was after graduating, when we came home tonight he started sobbing as he showed me his star that was in his cubby all year with his name on it.  He said that he was going to miss Ms. Melani and Ms. Kim so much!  He is such a tender-hearted boy!  I reminded him that he was lucky enough to go to Kindergarten at Northwood next year and that he will be right across the hall.  He'll be able to see Ms. Melani and Ms. Kim in just a couple months!

Hudson and I have both made friends who we are sad to see go to a different elementary. Hudson's friend, Cason, has been such a good buddy, and his Mommy, Heather, and I have become great friends as well.  Although they will be at different schools next year, we plan to have lots of play time!  And possibly try to be on the same baseball team in the fall!  Hudson and Luke are going to a camp this summer that Cason will also be at, so we'll continue to see them once a week at camp also!

Hudson did spectacular during his performance!!! He loves to be on stage to sing and dance! He's a little entertainer! They started their performance with the Pledge of Allegiance.  I've noticed that this last month the Pre-K classes are introducing the students to several Kindergarten concepts.  Among a few: went on a field trip, had cafeteria day, had splash day (field day) on their last day of school, and learned the pledge of allegiance.  I can tell they work a lot to make sure the kids are prepared for Kindergarten!  After the pledge of allegiance the classes sang five songs:

Jesus is My Lord
I Have Decided
Ain't Nobody
This Little Light of Mine
Goodbye Song

Then each child walked across stage to receive their graduation certificate and take a picture with their teachers.

Hudson made me the sweetest craft in school that they gave to us on graduation night!  It's him reaching for the stars! This adorable and sentimental gift made several of us moms tear up! So sweet!
