Happy 7 Months!

Here's what Luke is up to at 7 months old:
  • He has been sitting without support for about a month now.
  • While sitting, he will reach for items around him, stretching out as far as he can go.
  • He rolls all over the place now.
  • Just the other day, he started doing the "worm crawl", trying to pull himself to a toy.
  • He loves to clap his hands.
  • He is eating two meals a day- a fruit with oatmeal in the morning and a veggin with rice in the evening. He started eating puffs last week and stage 3 foods this week. I have not started feeding him a breakfast meal because he barely meets his milk intake requirement as it is, so I don't want to fill him up on solids where he won't drink milk. He's definitely not a milk-a-holic like his older brother.
  • He has one tooth: his bottom left
  • I have cut his hair on top four times now. It grows pretty fast! The rest of his hair is also filling in nicely.
  • I started weaning him off nursing this month. We went from nursing four times a day to three, and just this week we started doing just twice a day - morning and night.
  • Everything within reach goes directly into his mouth, and he will grab at something immediately if you set it down in front of him. We learned this the hard way after a couple spilled drinks while at restaurants.
  • Hudson can make him do the biggest belly laugh just by being a silly kid.
  • Luke is always very interested in Misha, watching her and laughing when she come up to him.
  • He loves to play with phones and the remote control (like all kiddos).
  • He often makes this sounds like he is clearing his throat; it sounds like he is trying to put sounds together to talk. He has also started making the "fake cough" sound every once in a while.
  • He has separation anxiety with Mommy. Often when somebody else is holding him, or if he's sitting by himself and Mommy walks into the room, he cries for me to hold him.

I love to clap!
Look who came in to join us...
Wow, Hudson! You just made yourself right at home, didn't you?
