The last batter of each inning (two innings are played each game) gets to his a home run, so all the kids can run in that are on the bases. The kids rotate who gets to hit last as a homerun, and today was Hudson's day! He enjoyed running around all of those bases. In fact, we were the first ones to the baseball field and he wanted to practice running around the bases FAST.
Coach Eric and Coach John (brothers) were out of town on a family trip this weekend and for the practice last Tuesday, so they asked Matthew to be head coach again. Of course, Matthew loves this! He had planned on signing up as coach for Hudson's second season of soccer, but we love our coaches/team so much that we decided not to do that right now. So, it's nice that the coaches ask him to fill in as head coach once a season when they are out of town.
