Project Home: Kitchen Edition

Our first project on our new home was the kitchen.  It's fun to look at the before and after pictures! The difference is incredible! I'm very happy with the new antiqued cabinets.  The only other thing we plan to add in the kitchen is under/over the cabinet lighting.  We plan to do that pretty soon as it makes a huge difference to have that under cabinet lighting while cooking!  At the same time, we'll change the fixtures above the island.

Before

 During - This is after the first day when the cabinets only had primer on them.  Our kitchen was unusable for three days.  They started on Monday and finished on Wednesday

Our next project is the pool, which is expected to begin in a few weeks.  After that, we will remodel the master bath, which will be a huge improvement!  We don't expect to do that until late summer or fall.  Matthew plans to do the tile work himself with the help of his brother, Andy.  That will be a big task because they will be changing the floors, shower, and adding decorative tile around the tub.  Then we'll have the bathroom cabinets painted, change out the sink/light fixtures and add granite.
