Beary Best Birthday!

Luke's birthday bash turned out perfect!  Everyone had lots of fun, including the birthday boy!  His party was at 10:00 Saturday, April 30th, and the theme was Teddy Bear Picnic.  Luke's friends who came to celebrate with him, along with many of Mommy and Daddy's friends, were:

Each guest received their teddy bear invitation in a personalized mailbox (with the exception of our friends in Cali and OK whose teddy bears were sent through the mail).

 For the adults, we served chicken salad sandwiches with snaps, fruit dip and chips.  To drink, we had cherry limeade, sodas and water.

 I had a hard time getting a good picture of these.  They were for the kids to take home as well.  They are teddy bears made out of ding dongs.  They were wrapped with a favor tag that read "Thank You Beary Much for Coming!"

At the beginning of the party the kids played with sidewalk chalk and the pinwheels we gave each of them. Luke seemed to be more interested in the chalk, while the older kids enjoyed the pinwheels.

 For the kid's lunch, we gave each of them a personalized teddy bear picnic basket filled with a teddy bear shaped peanut butter and honey sandwich, teddy grams, raisins and a juice box.

 After the picnic, the kids used their picnic baskets to go on a "Bear Hunt" where they hunted for eggs filled with goodies such as hot wheels, play dough and candy.  The eggs were decorated with bear paw stickers.
