For Memorial Day yesterday, we joined Matthew's parents at the ranch. As always, we have a fabulous time out there! When we first got there, we took the boys down to ride the tractor with Papa and Daddy. Hudson was a little tentative with the idea at first, so Luke jumped on to show him there was nothing to worry about! Then Hudson and I drove the scooter and chased Daddy around on the four wheeler and Mimi in her truck. This was lots of fun! We chased them all around the ranch! After this, we headed over to Larry's neighbor, Tommy's, place for a fish fry at the falls on the Brazos River on his land where there. We had a blast getting dirty, playing in the river, getting dirty, eating delicious food, getting dirty, listening to Mark serenade us with his guitar and... getting dirty! After an hour of being there, Hudson took his shoes off and was walking around barefoot in the river with the other kids. However, it was very slippery, so he fell and got all wet and dirty. He cried at first and then realized that this dirty business was lots of fun! Luke joined in toward the end smearing mud all over his face and arms. Boys will be boys! Hudson made a couple friends, while we were there who he had fun playing with. We had a GREAT time!
