Although I've been trying to avoid this ridiculous heat wave as much as possible, we toughed it out this morning at the splash park. My friend, Sarah, and her two boys, Chase and Tyler, came over to spend the day with us. The boys had a blast! We went to the splash park this morning and stopped for Slurpees before coming back to our house for lunch, popsicles and more playing. We haven't gotten together with them for a few weeks so it was fun to visit with Sarah. And all four boys play well together, which makes for a fun playdate! In fact, we are meeting up with them again tomorrow for a pool playdate. More fun in this HOT HOT sun!

I gave Luke a fork for the first time this evening, and he loved it! He switched from his hands and his fork throughout the meal.
We ate leftover Sheperd's Pie this evening, which doesn't look too appetizing but it's delicious (even as leftovers)! I mean roast beef, mashed potatoes, peas and cheese... How can you go wrong with that?
I like to pick out the peas, which is too hard with the fork!
