15 Month Check-Up

We visited Dr. S this morning for Luke's 15 month well visit.  Everything looks great.  I was a little concerned about his weight and height being such a difference on the percentile chart, but the doctor assured me that this was fine.  I figured as such, especially with Luke chowing down on his Cheerios as she's telling me this. Since Mommy and Daddy were both tall and lanky as children, our boys are probably destined to be this way (for a while at least).  Luke had two shots (four vaccines) today, but between Mommy's hug and his nigh-night, Luke cried for only a few seconds.  What a big boy!

Luke's 15 month measurements:
Weight:  22.7 lbs (21st percentile)
Height:  32.5 in (81st percentile)
Head:  49.5 cm (96th percentile)

It's always an event taking the boys to the doctor, so today I decided to document our visit...

Since we were up early and out the door by 8:15, we only had time for a banana before we left.  The boys ate the rest of their breakfast on the run- Honey Nut Cheerios and Milk.  No bowl but still cereal all the same!
The reason I'm not worried about Luke's weight...
I'm ready for a toy, Mommy!
Musical book
When he was bored with that, chatter Elmo entertained him for a while.
Then he played cars with Hudson on the wall.
Then Baker Smurf

Hudson was a good spectator... as long as he wasn't the patient!  He made sure of this several times.  As I was talking with the receptionist during check in, he told her that we were there for Luke and not Hudson, just in case she was confused.  "Hi Doctor, Luke not me.", were Hudson's first words to Dr. S when she entered the room, making sure she knew who the patient was.  Hudson has always liked going to the doctor, but for some reason today he was adamant that he was not the patient.

Playing with his shades

After the appointment, we met up at McDonalds for a playdate with two of my friends, Jill and Mandy.  Mandy is an old friend from high school who was on the drill team with me.  I've only seen her once since we graduated (oh so many years ago), so it was fun to catch up.  I always enjoy hanging out with my dear friend Jill.  And of course, Hudson loves playing with "his Kelsey" and Trevor.
