The life of a newborn is the best! ... You sleep all the time and wake up when you're hungry. Plus, when you want attention, all you have to do is cry, and you will have someone's undivided attention.
Luke is 1 month old today! So far, he has been such an easy baby. In fact, I didn't think it was possible, but he has been easier than Hudson was at this point. Hudson gave us a few crying spells at night, and Lucas hasn't had any problems at all! He is basically on a schedule to sleep at night, and what's so nice is that he falls asleep on his own when we put him in his bassinet. At this age, Hudson still needed us to walk him or pat him to sleep. However, with Luke, I can just feed him, put him in his bed, and he will fall asleep on his own.

- I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE his little button nose!
- As of a few days ago, Luke is all smiles... it's priceless! Several of us have been able to get that adorable smile from him, including Daddy, Mommy, Hudson, Memere, cousin Sarah, and even Misha!
- He's just so kissable!
- Luke has gorgeous blue eyes!
- Luke is awake for longer intervals during the day and still sleeping for a 6-8 hour stretch at night. He will usually fall asleep between 9-11 and get up anytime between 4-6.
- He can now drink from a bottle. We don't feed him with a bottle often, just if my parents are watching him, or if I am away running errands for a little while. This has been nice because it allowed us to spend an evening out with friends while my parents watched the boys, which was lots of fun! Luke still hasn't tried formula yet, and I don't think I will introduce that for a while.
- Luke's umbilical cord fell off on May 19th.
- Luke is very alert. You can tell that he's noticing a lot more now and will focus on things better and better all the time.
- He is wearing his 0-3 months clothes and has been since he was 2 weeks old. I anticipate that it won't be long until he will be comfortably wearing 3-6 months.
- When Hudson was a baby, we used to say that his cry often sounded like a lion (when he was really upset). Well, Luke definitely has a different cry than Hudson did, and it sounds just like a seal. He really doesn't cry much at all, but when he does Mommy thinks it's very cute!
- The curious little guy likes to hold his head up to look around. He can hold it up pretty well, especially when we are holding him.
- Luke seems to be darker complected than Hudson who has very fair skin.
- As of yesterday, Lucas is starting to get a little baby acne.
