Is Baby Here to Stay?

"Baby, Baby Go Away; Come Again Some Other Day!"

This is the song that I'm sure Hudson has been secretly singing this past week. Poor little Hudson has had a tough time lately! I didn't realize that the transition of having a baby brother might delay a few weeks, but it has. He is for sure displaying some emotional adjustments now. My patient, easy going boy has completely changed these past few days. He has been extremely fussy, needy and will throw a hysterical tantrum every once in a while. Luckily, it isn't all day long, but when he does this, it is very difficult for anyone to console him until he decides that he wants to be happy again. I'm sure this will pass soon enough, but it has been quite difficult these days, and it makes it even harder to know that this is all derived from hurt feelings. It's funny because each morning when I get Hudson from his crib he will start happily saying 'baby, baby' looking around the house for him (Luke is usually still sleeping in my room when I get Hudson in the morning). Hudson is either looking for his baby brother because he loves him, or he is hoping that one morning he will wake up and Luke will be gone. Either way, I think he loves his baby brother because, even now, Hudson continues to give Luke kisses on his own account. Hudson is just having trouble sharing our attention. One good thing is that he hasn't taken it out on Luke at all by throwing anything at him or something like that, which I've heard can happen too.
