While Mommy's Away...

... the Boys will Play!  This is exactly what they did!  Playing hard.  Eating junk.  Late nights.  Sleeping in.  Sounds like a fun weekend to me!  I had called Matthew on Saturday night around 9:00 to find that they were on their way to get ice cream.  Wow... Ice cream at 9:00!  You could also tell that Daddy dressed them all weekend because both of their outfits were extremely mismatched when they picked me up from the airport.  I'm not quite sure how this happened because I set out plenty of outfits (all matched up) for the boys to wear this weekend, but somehow the shirts and shorts were completely wrong.  Oh well!  Boys don't care.

I missed my boys (all three of them) tremendously on this trip!  It was nice to get photo updates from Matthew.  This made it more fun to see what they were up to.

Here's the breakout of their weekend while Mommy was away:

Day 1 (Saturday):  We woke the boys up around 7:30 to leave for the airport.  Hudson (and Daddy) were very excited to see the planes.  Hudson kept asking me in the car if he could come with me.  This was so sweet and broke my heart!  Although I was looking forward to time with the girls, at that moment I was wishing he could come on the plane because I knew he wanted to so much!  A few minutes after dropping me off, Matthew called to tell me that Hudson was asking for Mommy to come back. :-( Hearing that made my separation even more difficult, but I knew the boys would have a fun weekend.  After the airport, Daddy took them back home for lunch and a nap.  After nap, they went to Mimi and Papas and ate dinner with them at Bobby V's.  On their way home that night (around 9:00), Matthew was going to take them to get ice cream, which is when I talked to him on the phone.  Well, I later found out that this plan changed because the boys were too tired. So they just went home.  Luke went to bed around 9:15 and Hudson around 10:00.

I had asked Matthew when I was leaving the airport to send me pictures.  Well, he had never taken or sent pictures with his phone before, so he didn't know how to do this.  I was bugging him Saturday afternoon about sending them to me because I wanted to see pics of the boys, so he FINALLY figured it out.  By the time he figured it out that night, this is what the kids were up to.

I was so excited to get my first picture of my boys, and this is the first one I receive!
Luke was already in bed fast asleep.
Hudson eating a banana before bedtime.
 All ready for bed

Day 2 (Sunday):  Luke woke up around 7:45.  I really enjoyed these morning pictures because they portray exactly how these boys are in the morning.  Note: Luke's hair
Daddy told Luke to blow Mommy a kiss, so this is him in mid-kiss.
Hudson slept in until 8:45 (He often throws off his covers in the middle of the night)
For breakfast, Daddy made them pancakes and fruit salad
Someone must have woken this boy up because he doesn't look too happy!
 Yummy breakfast!

After breakfast, Matthew took the boys to the park.  Hudson started on the regular swing, but when he saw brother on the baby swing, he wanted to do the same.

That afternoon, they went back to Mimi and Papa's house, while Daddy played golf.  The boys stayed the night with Mimi and Papa that night since they were watching them on Monday while Matthew was at work.  They played a lot outstide at Mimi and Papa's

Day 3 (Monday):  After eating breakfast and getting ready at Mimi and Papa's house, they picked up Mia and went to Chick-fil-a (or Chick-a-fay as Hudson calls it) for lunch and to play on the playground.  This is their regular Monday spot to eat and play with Mimi and Papa.  Then they took a nap before meeting Daddy at the airport to pick up Mommy.  Boy was I excited to see them!  I was greeted by a gigantic hug from Hudson, and Luke blew me a kiss before I was able to give him a hug too.  Mommy was back!
