These are the words our family heard this morning at the Barnum 200 Circus- Ringling Bros. 200th anniversary show. Hudson has been excited about this all weekend, especially to see the elephants and clowns.
One hour before the show starts, there is a preshow when you can take pictures with the clowns and get up close and personal with the animals and characters. We didn't want to miss this, so we arrived right at 9:30 for our showtime at 10:30. Although Hudson was excited to see the clowns, he was a little shy to meet them. After meeting the clowns and the super tall man on stilts, we ventured over to the stage to watch the acts. They invited all the kids on stage to dance, but Hudson said "No, Mommy I want to watch.". He was a little cautious of all that was going on. He really enjoyed watching everything though, including the elephant who came on stage to paint a picture. This was cute!

Our seats were fantastic - the 5th row up in the center. When ordering our tickets last week, I discovered some tips on getting great seats for a great price. We were originally planning on going to the show yesterday, but I happened to look at the tickets for today and discovered that they were much cheaper on Sunday for even better seats. This coupled with the coupon code (RG20) to get 20% off, brought our cost of tickets down tremendously. We thought we skated by with a good deal... that's until we arrived and realized how they make up for the cost! Everything in the circus was outrageous! I mean $12 for cotton candy, you've got to be kidding me! But we spurgled because you can't go to the circus without trying cotton candy, right?
Being silly! None of the boys wanted to wear the clown nose, so I tried it on.

Cotton candy at the circus is a MUST! Matthew and I agreed that it used to be better when it came on a stick (but I guess you didn't get a hat with it then).

Throughout the show when the acrobats were finished with their act, Hudson would yell while he was clapping his hands, "Yay! Good Job Guys!"
The tight roper's were right in front of us, so we could see them perfectly!
This, along with the elephants, were Hudson's favorite part. Seven of these motorcycles rode in this sphere together. It was pretty cool!
During intermission, when we spent most of our time following the boys while they ran up and down the stair by our seats.
The second half after intermission. Soon after the second half started, Luke fell asleep in my arms. I loved this! It was around noon, which is close to his nap time. This worked perfectly because he was quiet and still during my favorite part of the show- the elephants!

This was my (and Hudson's) favorite act!! I love the elephants! I didn't realize elephants were so smart! They were hilarious doing all of their tricks!

This was Matthew's favorite part. These pirates were being launched off a see-saw and landing on the shoulders of the top man. One of them even did this while standing on stilts. Pretty incredible!
The trampoline act was very pretty in the purple & yellow suits.
Of course, the grand finale was spectacular!
The circus was a fun event and exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be returning to experience "The Greatest Show on Earth" again.
